We welcome you to have your animals at the Double Bar A Ranch™. Having your own cows, sheep, goat, or chickens at the DBA is a great family experience. You get to visit and learn about your animals. Your children get an unparalleled experience and a true life experience. You know where you animal has been and how they have been cared for. They will not be pets but you and your family will understand how life works and how food is created. This is very important as people too far from the source of food that is in their grocery store end up with a lack of knowledge that affects their appreciation of this wonderful world.
Pricing is based on normal market returns to the ranch. We can advise. Visitation rights are included with in reason. We want you to be part of the family and enjoy the ranch.
Costs that would be normal to the ranch are yours and part of the experience a rancher would have. Costs are passed on and not marked up or based on current conditions. Processing is available additionally.
We send pictures of ranch life with regular emails. You can see the animals in herds or flocks which is a low stress natural ranching method. You will enjoy experiencing ranch life from your office and home.
Year round our animals enjoy our pastures and our woods.
Our animals are grazed with careful management that gives them the benefits of natural health management. This requires regular moves of temporary fencing. The animals are on fresh pasture regularly. This careful attention to detail regenerates the pastures and produces meat that is not only healthy, but research shows that grass diets for animals actually helps humans resist diseases.
