Fishing

Availability

We agree to up to 5 of our lakes being spoken for. The number is kept nominal so that as a rule no more than one fisherman is present on the ranch and so that some of the lakes can rest. We have a lot of lakes and ponds. The ranch is 2 miles long and quite scenic.

Stocking

Your lake will be yours to stock as you wish. Some fish will already be present. This is not someone else's lake but yours done your way. Your lake is for fishing as you would like . If the you want additional stocking or feeding we will provide the labor for reasonable maintenance at no charge. We work with you and the other fishermen to set the catch rules and other rules needed for a enjoyment by all.

Cooper Lake and other State and National lakes are nearby for additional fishing opportunities.

Rules

First and foremost you will be part of an active working ranch. You are our guest and we do our best to plan the grazing and other activities to enhance your enjoyment.

To keep an enjoyable ambiance we run the ranch as a benevolent dictatorship. That means as possible we have minimum rules and make them only for the needs of the ranch and ranching activities and to have as much enjoyment by all along side the ranching activities.

To be consistent, we are the final authority on the rules.

Cabins

As a fisherman you may have an agreed upon small cabin on skids so that we can move it easily with available ranch equipment. Obviously, it will be your cost and responsibility. We reserve the right to move it as need be and it will need to be of a design that fits the ranch.

You may also camp on the ranch.

We also have Cabins / Bed and Breakfast available.

We can generally provide low cost meals.

Responsibility.

We give good faith care of the ranch. Obviously we can make no guarantees or warranties on your safety, health, or security. To date we have had no problems and expect none but must explain that all responsibility for your actions are yours. A ranch is a safe or dangerous place based on your decisions and inherent risks of ranches, wild, and semi-wild places.

Cost

You will purchase $99 to $125 of our time each month for routine maintenance and chores. The price varies based on the lake you select. Day fishing is generally allowed at $15 per day.
